Phishing Alert
Phishing tries to get you to accidentally reveal confidential and sensitive information such as passwords, Bank details or credit card numbers
Phishing emails create a sense of urgency to make you click on a link you don’t recognize or open an attachment without thinking it through
They ask for personal information from the phishing link and they use the information entered to make illegal purchases or commit fraud.
There are a few tell tale signs to look out for in trying to detect a phishing email
Is the sender’s email address correct ?- Is the link URL taking you to a strange website ?
- Is the email addressed to you personally by name ?
- Are there spelling and grammar mistakes ?
- Are the logos and pictures of poor quality ?
