Install antivirus software on your devices and keep the operating service up to date
Create strong passwords, never use the same password on all your accounts, change them frequently
Don’t access online banking or other sensitive sites over public Wi-Fi. If it is necessary then use a trusted VPN connection
Don’t share personal and sensitive information like passwords, login details etc. with anyone
Don’t reply to unsolicited emails that ask for your personal information
Don’t throw important documents that have your name and address on them in the bin- shred them if you can
Never give your bank details such as PIN number over the phone or in response to an email. No Bank will ask you for this information
Be careful what you post on social media
